Byron Benson
Pastor
Byron and his wife, Melanie, came to East End in July, 2017 after serving in music ministry for thirteen years. He has twenty-four years of ministry experience. Byron was ordained to the gospel ministry by New Salem Baptist Church in 2011. He received his bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from Blue Mountain Christian University in December of 2023.
Jacob Davis
Youth Minister
A current student of Mississippi University for Women, and former interim youth leader, Jacob has a heart for young people. He has served as the youth minister of East End since 2023 and was saved at the age of 9 through Vacation Bible School. Jacob is blessed to serve along his wife, Anna Kate and looks forward to continuing serving and allowing God to grow the youth spiritually.
Heather Dees
Children’s Minister
Heather’s walk with the Lord started at the age of 9. A graduate from Mississippi University for Women and former teacher, she has seized numerous opportunities to serve Christ. She had been involved in ministry for years and committed her life to ministry at the age of 25. Heather, along with her husband Marty and their children joined EEBC in 2006.
Tonya McDaniel
Preschool Director
Tonya was saved at the age of 10. She has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the Mississippi University for Women. She and her husband, Russ, have been members of East End since 1998, and have 3 children. Tonya has filled almost every children’s ministry role since joining East End and had spent her prior years serving in church nursery.
Christie Tyndall
Ministry Assistant
Christie answered her ministry calling in 1996. She has served in a variety of secretarial roles and hold a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from William Carey University. She has been with East End since 2015. She and her husband, Lawrence are both members of East End where they serve in a variety of mission based roles.
